Five of the best Chinese restaurants in the Midlands to celebrate Lunar New Year

You deserve to eat the best real Chinese food to celebrate Chinese New Year – but where should you visit?

This time Chinese New Year is marking the start of the Year of the Tiger.

The main date usually falls on the second new moon after the winter solstice and is always sometime between January 20 and February 21.

In 2022, Chinese New Year will begin on Tuesday, February 1. That’s 11 days earlier than in 2021.

This annual event – also known as Spring Festival and Lunar New Year – lasts from Chinese New Year’s Eve until February 11, followed by preparations for a Lantern Festival which will be held on February 15.

And there are endless restaurants and takeaways serving up delicious Chinese food across Birmingham and the Black Country.

But where should you go to dine in?
