Two Widow Founders Launch DayNew, a Social Platform for Grief and Trauma Support

After experiencing the loss of their husbands in devastating ways, Karine Nissim and Eloise Bune noticed a lack of suitable places for people to navigate the challenges of grief, such as funeral arrangements, support groups, and more. As seasoned entrepreneurs, they decided to create DayNew, a comprehensive platform offering services and resources for individuals dealing with grief, divorce, illness, and trauma.

Available on various platforms, DayNew is a user-friendly app that combines grief support, a social community, educational resources, and a task manager. Its core focus is to provide a safe space for users to connect, share their stories, and receive support from the community.

The platform includes features like the Community feed for users to ask for help and the “Find a Buddy” feature for one-on-one support. There is also a Journal for users to express their feelings and a daily mood tracker. Additionally, users can access personalized lists, an AI-powered emotional advice tool, and educational content.

In the future, DayNew plans to offer virtual workshops, in-person events, and a gifting feature for users. While the platform is free to join, there is a subscription option for premium features. It's important to note that these services are meant to complement therapy and counseling, not replace them.

As society becomes more open to discussing grief and loss, platforms like DayNew provide valuable support and community for individuals in need of healing.
